What is Death Rides a Unicorn?

Death Rides a Unicorn is an arts non-profit that focuses on silly literary and spoken word events such as Famous Last Words, Liars of Orpheus, The Seventeen Syllable Poetry Slam and Under the Rooftops of Vancouver. It stems from a want to produce accessible fun arts events that are either no cost to audience members or low cost to audiences. Our salonnière (artistic producer) Sean McGarragle created Death Rides a Unicorn as away to fight back against the melancholy that the Covid and Fentanyl Pandemics instilled upon all of us. We find it even more important to spread joy, silliness and a little bit of chocolate now, given the stated of the world.
